Brevard County man arrested after allegedly trying to meet child for sex, deputies say

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said a man has arrested a man accused trying to meet a child for sex. Timothy Liscum, 64, was a Satellite High School teacher, according to the sheriff’s office. Liscum was communicating with a student at the high school, who then expressed concerns to a both a fellow student and a teacher. School administrators then contacted law enforcement. Deputies said Liscum set up a meeting with the student for sex, and upon arrival to the meeting location, he was arrested and taken to the Brevard County Jail. According to the sheriff’s office, Liscum faces charges of using a computer to solicit a child and traveling to meet after use of a computer to lure a child.Liscum is being held on $70,000 bond. “Thankfully, the student, her friend, and our teacher in this case all did exactly what should be done to bring this individual to justice,” the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook.
